What is a user group
User groups are a great way to quickly notify a group of members in a workspace about something important. You can mention a group's name – for example, @engineers like you would when tagging a person like @Gerard. This will send a notification to all members of the group.
Default channels for the users within the group
The same way you can tag a group like you would a single person, you can also add a group to specific channels like you would add a signle person.
But even a better thing is that you can set default channels that every single person from a group will be added to.
